Oil on canvas, wood and thread – 55 x 65 cm | 21.6 x 25.6 inches

This painting presents a male figure floating, contained within a frame inspired by the golden mechanisms that isolate quantum processors. In “Qubit,” Eva Prada explores the idea of a consciousness suspended in quantum duality—a human body caught in a moment of transformation.

In quantum physics, a qubit can exist in multiple states simultaneously. Through this artwork, Eva imagines how that might feel in the body: tension, stillness, collapse, and possibility—all at once. The use of oil on canvas and hand-threaded wood evokes fragility alongside containment, suggesting the human cost of becoming entangled in post-biological dimensions.

“Qubit” is a visual meditation on liminality, embodiment, and the invisible systems—technological, cognitive, and existential—that define the new thresholds of our reality.
